Who is Pinoy Wise international Qatar
Pinoy WISE International Qatar stands for Pinoy Worldwide Initiative for Investment Savings and Entrepreneurship also known as known as “Pinoy WISE” is a self-help organization comprising Overseas Filipinos (OFs) and their families. The group aims to assist its members in achieving their migration goals by providing financial literacy education, promoting savings and investments, and facilitating engagement in sustainable enterprises that generate income and create economic opportunities in local communities
PinoyWise Objective
Financial Education
Pinoy WISE offers training programs on family and income management to help OFs and their families understand migration realities, set financial goals, budget effectively, track expenses, save for investments and retirement, manage debt, and address family issues that may impact their resources
Investment Opportunities
The organization connects OFs and their families with business opportunities, advisory services, and concrete savings and investment programs offered by cooperatives, microfinance institutions, social enterprises, banks, and other financial entities in their home provinces.
Partnerships
Pinoy WISE collaborates with various stakeholders, including government agencies like the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), and private sector entities, to create an enabling environment for investment and deliver comprehensive social and economic services to OFs and their families.
Pinoy WISE Qatar Members
Pinoy WISE is powered by a dedicated team of over 50 Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) volunteers, each deeply committed to the mission of empowering fellow migrant workers. As esteemed advocates of the Pinoy WISE Programs, they actively engage in financial literacy initiatives, ensuring that vital knowledge reaches those who need it most. Many of our volunteers are also trained facilitators of the Reintegration Preparedness Program, equipping OFWs with the tools and strategies needed for a smooth and sustainable transition back home. United by experience and passion, our volunteers serve as mentors, guiding their fellow Filipinos toward financial security, entrepreneurship, and a brighter future
Pinoy WISE Qatar Activities
Kape at Kwentong Kampo (KKK)
Sitting with the migrants who are working inside the camps, and more than bringing the coffee and snacks if we are lucky enough to provide, we bring understanding and empowerment. As workers share their financial struggles and learned lessons over a warm cup, we listen with care, offering guidance on budgeting, saving, so they can prepare to reintegrate back home and securing their future. Our mission is simple: to turn conversations into actionable financial wisdom, helping them build a path toward stability and independence. One cup, one story, one empowered worker at a time.
Business Plan
Facilitate in assisting an OFW to create a business plan that can use for applying for a grant or government loan. To make it as strong as possible.
DMW OWWA Orientation Seminar
A biweekly activity (every other Friday) conducted for the OFWs and their communities in Qatar. In collaboration between DMW OWWA Qatar facilitating the Financial Literacy presentation. Catering the topics that are timely for the OFW needs in Qatar to be heard and discussed. to the needs of the OFWs in Qatar. To name a few the related topics echoed last year were,
- How to Change Mindset
- Servant Leadership,
- Business Plan Financial Summary preparation
- Forms of investment,
- How to Spot and Avoid Scam and
- Who are the Partners in the Road to Reintegration.
On year 2024 Qatar has done 10 batches of Orientation Seminar hosted by DMW OWWA presenting the Philippines Government Services pertaining to DMW, OWWA, SSS and PAG-IBIG in collaboration with Pinoy WISE Qatar who is responsible for the Financial Literacy Topics.
Pinoy WISE International Global Presence
Pinoy WISE has established chapters in various countries, here in Qatar, including Italy, Singapore, Hong Kong, and the UAE. In Qatar, for instance, the organization has been active in empowering OFs through financial education, offering free seminars on family income management, and collaborating with local Filipino organizations to reach a broader audience.
Through these initiatives, Pinoy WISE International strives to ensure that migration contributes to the long-term development of Overseas Filipinos, their families, and their communities.
